The line is characterized by its single-track sections and unique operational history.

Available Versions & Rolling Stock

Two different versions of the Isle of Wight route are available as downloadable content (DLC), compatible with various Train Sim World titles including the latest iterations:

  • Original Version (Compatible with TSW 2, 3, 4, 5, 6): This classic release features the historic BR Class 483 electric multiple unit (EMU) in Network SouthEast livery. These trains are notably refurbished former London Underground 1938 tube stock, making them some of the oldest rolling stock to have operated in regular service in the UK.
  • Isle of Wight 2022 (Compatible with TSW 4, 5, 6): A separate, modernized release that focuses on the contemporary experience. This version features the newer BR Class 484 train in the modern Island Line livery, offering updated visuals and a more current operational environment.

Both add-ons provide a comprehensive experience, including various scenarios, a 24-hour timetable, and accessible training modules. The route add-on typically retails for around $25 USD and is available on major gaming platforms. You can find more information on platforms like the official Dovetail Games website, Steam, the PlayStation Store, and the Xbox store.
