The Northeast Corridor (NEC) in the New York area is featured in several Train Sim World (TSW) routes, specifically the Northeast Corridor: New York – Trenton add-on. This route focuses on high-speed and commuter services between New York Penn Station and Trenton Transit Center.

- Availability: This content is compatible with and available for TSW 3, TSW 4, and TSW 5. An older, original Northeast Corridor New York route (Newark Airport to New Rochelle) was also available for the first TSW game.
Included Locomotives and Trains
The Northeast Corridor: New York – Trenton route bundle includes:
- NJ TRANSIT ALP-46 electric locomotive and Multilevel coaches and cab car. This allows for the simulation of busy commuter services.
- Amtrak ACS-64 electric locomotive and Amfleet coaches and ex-Metroliner cab car. This allows for high-speed intercity services.
Layered Content (Sold Separately)
For an even busier and more authentic experience, additional content can be layered onto the route:
- Amtrak’s Acela Express: The high-speed Acela trainset can be used on this route via a separate add-on.
- LIRR trains: If you own the Long Island Rail Road DLC, its trains will appear as static AI trains in New York Penn Station to increase realism and station activity.
